Planes fly overhead, cars drive by on Pacific
Street, ships pass the bay, but to see what Monterey is about you have to hit
the pavement, just like we do now...
1776 the De Anza Expedition arrived in
Monterey. 240 colonists lead by Captain Juan Bautista de Anza finished their
2200 mile treck from Tubac in Mexico.
